How to Add Money

Set-up Direct Deposit Service with your paycheck or benefits check and get $20*

  1. Fill out the form that came with your prepaid card and sign it.
    (If you don’t have the form, just login to your online account at MyUnionPrepaid and click on the “Direct Deposit Service” tab.)

    Log in to MyUnionPrepaid.com, click on the Direct Deposit Service tab
  2. Hand the form to your employer.
    (For a benefits check, you will need to send the completed form to the agency which provides your benefits. Check with your benefits provider for more information.)

  3. Start receiving your paycheck directly onto your Union Plus Prepaid Card. (Depending on your employer it may take a few pay cycles for you to start receiving your money on your Union Plus Prepaid Card).

Add Money with Cash

  1. Visit a participating retailer and go to the prepaid products section. This is usually where they sell Visa and MasterCard gift cards.

  2. Get a Green Dot® MoneyPak®, and take it to the store cashier along with the cash that you wish to add to your Union Plus Prepaid Card. Green Dot (not your Union Plus Prepaid card) charges a load service fee of $4.95.

  3. Call the number or visit the website listed on the back of the MoneyPack and follow the instructions. You’ll need your 16-digit card number as well as the number listed on the back of the MoneyPak to load the funds onto your Union Plus Prepaid Card. The money should be deposited onto your Union Plus Prepaid Card in a couple of hours or less.

    You will need both of these numbers to load your Union Plus Prepaid Card.

Add Money by transferring from your PayPal Account

  1. Log in to your PayPal Account.

  2. Click on the link that says “Withdraw”, then click on “Transfer to Bank Account”.

  3. Click on “Add Bank Account” and then select “Checking”.

  4. Enter your:

    • : XXX-XXXX-XXX
    • : XXX-XXXX-XXX

    Your Union Plus Prepaid account and routing numbers are for loading your card through your bank account and to set up Direct Deposit Service. The use of these numbers for any other purpose will result in termination of your card account.

  5. Click “Continue”.

PayPal will send two very small deposits to your Union Plus Prepaid Card Account in a few days. Login to MyUnionPrepaid.com, click on Prepaid Card Account and check the transaction history.

Verify the Deposits

Once you have the amount(s), login into your bank account to verify the deposits.

  1. Log in to PayPal.

  2. Click on “Profile”, then “Add or Edit Bank Account”.

  3. Click “Confirm” on the Bank Account that says “First Bank & Trust”.

  4. Enter the amount of the deposits you received on your Union Plus Prepaid Card account.

  5. Click “Submit”.

Add Money by transferring money from your Bank Account

Note: Your Union Plus Prepaid Card only allows bank transfers if the originating bank account is in your name.

  1. Login to your bank account. Look for a tab, button or link saying “transfers” or “external accounts.”

    Not all banks allow you to transfer money to an external bank account. If First Bank & Trust is not one of your bank’s “preferred banks,” call your bank and ask them to add First Bank & Trust by giving them your routing number. They will usually do it and it only takes a few days.

  2. Add Your Union Plus Prepaid Card as an “External” account or an “Outside the Bank” account with the information below:

    • XXX-XXXX-XXX
    • XXX-XXXX-XXX

    Your Union Plus Prepaid Card account and routing numbers are for loading your card through your bank account and to set up Direct Deposit Service. The use of these numbers for any other purpose may result in termination of your card account. (You can only transfer money from a bank account in your name.)

    Your bank may ask you for an account name. If so, you should list First Bank & Trust. Union Plus Prepaid Cards are issued by First Bank & Trust.

  3. Verify the deposits made by your bank onto you Union Plus Prepaid Card Account.

    Your bank will make one or two very small deposits to your Union Plus Prepaid Card account. Login to MyUnionPrepaid.com, click on Prepaid Card Account and check the transaction history.

Once you have the amount(s), you’ll need to login into your bank account to verify the deposits and confirm Your Union Plus Prepaid Card as an account.
